WELCOME TO THE SWISS MOUNTAIN MOTEL
We are a classic motor lodge that was built in 1953 and like to keep that quaint retro style and attitude about business.
The name Swiss Mountain comes from the fact that the Star Valley was known as little Switzerland
because of the large amount of dairy farms and cheese production.
When the motel was built the town had a contest in the paper to name it and this is what the winner chose
(and they also won a yearling beef!)
Lava Hot Springs, Jackson Hole, Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are all just a hop skip and a jump down the road.

OUR ROOMS
Our rooms are on the smaller side nowadays
but perfect for an overnight stay. They are all equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, and private baths with hairdryers.
We do not have A/C sorry! It wasnt a thing in the 50s when this place was built. The temperatures generally go down into the 40s even in the middle of summer so it cools things down just fine the way god intended.
